Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers get $10, $40 or $100 in Google Cloud credits each month, according to Google's Developer Program benefits FAQ. TestingCatalog's October 26, 2026 post repeats the offer as a reminder, but it adds a limit on where the credits can be spent that the FAQ does not support for these monthly credits.

Where the monthly credits can be spent
The benefits FAQ says the credits can be applied to all Google Cloud products, including Firebase, Vertex AI and the Google Maps API. The post says they work only in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. The FAQ places that narrower restriction on a separate $50 GenAI developer annual credit, which is limited to Gemini 2.0+ models and GenMedia models such as Imagen and Veo.
For Gemini API and AI Studio usage, the developer FAQ says Cloud credits are used before prepaid funds. Users on a prepay plan may first need to add an initial prepaid balance.
How to apply and keep the credits
Credits appear on the My Benefits page of the Developer Program dashboard, where you pick a Cloud billing account. Turning on 'Always use this billing account' sends future monthly credits to the same account automatically. Credits already applied cannot be moved to a different account, and changing the setting only affects credits that have not yet been applied.
Credits expire one year after they are granted and do not roll over beyond that, on both monthly and annual plans.
Changes for standalone Premium members
The newer developer FAQ says standalone Premium and Enterprise subscriptions are deprecated and new users can no longer sign up. Consumers are pointed to AI Pro or AI Ultra. The benefits FAQ says those plans do not include 1:1 expert consultations, certification vouchers or unlimited Google Skills access. Standard membership is free and keeps 35 monthly Google Skills credits.
The two FAQs give different end dates for standalone Premium. The benefits FAQ says monthly auto-renewal runs until June 30, 2026, and annual until March 30, 2026. The newer FAQ says October 18, 2026 for monthly and September 18, 2027 for annual. Today is October 26, 2026, so under the newer FAQ, monthly standalone subscribers have already moved to standard membership. Check your subscription portal for your own date. The newer FAQ says paid memberships are non-refundable. Both FAQs say cancelling keeps benefits until the end of the billing period.
What is still unclear
The FAQ says the credits are $10, $40 or $100 'respectively' and 'depending on the plan', but it does not name which AI Pro or AI Ultra plan gets which amount. The pages also do not say when the AI Pro and AI Ultra credits began, so it is not clear whether this is new or older policy.
The credit itself is confirmed by Google's FAQ. The plan-to-amount mapping and the product limit are not stated on the pages, so check your own dashboard before budgeting.
