Pasquale Pillitteri's report describes Bel as a pretraining run of more than 10 trillion parameters, meant as the base after GPT-6, and notes there is no official confirmation from OpenAI. The original August leak, credited to @synthwavedd, called Bel the successor to Doug. On October 25, @pankajkumar_dev said Bel is more likely GPT-6.5 or GPT-7 than 6.2 and could arrive by year-end.
