Day 7 of OpenAI Brings "Projects" for Smarter ChatGPT Organization

OpenAI has introduced a highly anticipated feature called “Projects,” offering users a new way to organize and manage their ChatGPT interactions. This enhancement aims to streamline workflows and improve the overall ChatGPT experience, providing users with a more structured approach to handling their conversations.

With “Projects,” users can create customized folders for their tasks or topics, complete with a title, a color-coded folder for easy identification, and the ability to attach relevant files. Users can also include specific instructions for ChatGPT, ensuring that the AI provides responses tailored to the project’s unique context.

One of the standout features of Projects is its ability to incorporate existing chats. Users can drag and drop past conversations into a Project folder and start new chats within the same space. Conversations saved in a Project can be easily revisited, making it simpler to continue work or reference past discussions without losing track.

The rollout of Projects begins today for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Teams users. OpenAI plans to extend access to free-tier users in the near future, with Enterprise and Edu users expected to receive the feature in early 2024.

This new organizational tool is poised to make ChatGPT an even more powerful resource for professionals, students, and anyone managing complex tasks or long-term projects.
